car dude inspired deiversion from cars

this was good fun. its not very often i do anything other than cars, but i really enjoyed this little project. Of course, thanks to car dude for his inspiring work ( ihope i didnt accidently rip off one of your designs...i just briefly looked at your stuff, and then tried to do my own)

sketched using HB pencil, photocopied (so pencil lines become almost black) then bloked in (and some subtle reflections added) with a C01 marker. interior done mainly with C04, some tone done with white pastel and highlights using white acrylic paint (iv lost my gauche ) .

Let me know what you think.

Interesting perspective of the years to come... I like how Darth Vader is driving it. But wasn't he a long long time ago? In a galaxy far far away?

Keep it up...

Thanks for the nice comments guy's

I know iv been away from this forum for a while, thanks to university i hardly have enough time to draw. about the only thing i do is little doodles on my note pad that are simply not good enough to post here.

KustmAce: i agree completely. the second one was done in very poor light at night and was rushed. i spent a lot more time on the first one.

That's a really nice drawing. Solid perspective--which is extremely important. Keep up the great work. What are you studying in university?

Thanks

Im doing Mechanical engineering. Not much drawing involved, although they do encourage people to try. Most of what i have learned is from thom taylors book (how to draw cars like a pro) and picking up tips from looking at other artists work...like yours .

ghetto7o2azn: it means 13th february 2004. The britsh convention for writing the dates is different to the US in that day and month are reversed.
