Unhappy Keyless Entry System Module-Where is it?

OK, Short Story.
Keyless entry system has failed.
I have purchased the replacment module.
Before I rip the car apart, where is the old module located?
Thanks

I have a 98 Ford Explorer and had to change the same part. If you open the back hatch and open the left side panel where they mount the jack, the module is up in that compartment. It is very hard to get to but you will see the bundle of wires going to the back of it.
