92 Ford Explorer power window

Looking for a power window wiring diagram. Have an intermittent problem (every few weeks, months) with driver side power window failing to go down. Can remove the motor and reinsert it and it works for a while. It's always the down movement that won't work. Anyone had this problem or know where to get a diagram on line?

Replace the switch, it has all four windows switch on it. I had the same problem. Once it finally went down it wouldn't go back up until I took the switch out and jiggled the wires. BTW, you don't have to remove the door panel, just use small screwdriver and pry out the switch, it has a small notch to insert screwdriver. Remove the screw(s) holding the connector to switch and remove and replace the switch. Jobs should take you 15 mins.

Re: 92 Ford Explorer power window

Thanks for your response. I already disassembled the switch and examined every part of it and found nothing wrong. When the window works it works down and up normally. Recently, it wouldn't work for a few days and then it worked and is still working.

window motor

Jb how did you get the motor out and back in? I am trying to replace mine and I can't get the damn thing out.
Can you help?
I looks like you can remove the two goldish bolts and the motor would fall out but no such luck.
Thanks.

It's been awhile since I examined this vehicles power window motor as it's in Alabama and I'm in Arizona. I believe there are three bolts you have to deal with and you might need to gently pry it loose. Cheers!

Re: 92 Ford Explorer power window

I hope you are right. I don't want to drill out the rivets just to pull the motor if I don't have to.
Thanks for the info.
