Re: I found 2.5 Grand, what to do....

Yeah, my mom just sold her 2000 VP. It was a 4 door automatic. It's slightly better than the DX model. My mom got pissed one time when I called it a DX. Haha.

I have the 5zigen fireball catback on my 96 civic coupe EX automatic and it sounds really nice. A lot of other exhausts sound like a can of bees, really high pitched and whiney, but the fireball is really deep sounding and rumbly. I highly recommend it for the person looking for an exhaust with a smaller muffler and a really deep non-ricey sound.

IF that is true I still don't get it. Isn't that the gap that the lx fills between the bare bones dx and the ex? has all the power accessoried and air from the ex (minus sunroof) but still same drivetrain and unpainted exterior trim like the DX (except the door handles, I think).

To CraniumDesigns: Thats good to know that it sounds good on an auto. But would there still be a difference since yours is an ex? Cuz yours is a VTEC and mine isn't. Anyone know?

To Ricochet: Is that where you got your engine from? Anyone know where I can find the "how-to" engine swap section? And does anyone know if a handy dad, and to eager sons can swap a b16 themselves?

I decided to do some research, and i found out what the difference is between the DX VP LX and EX (with the accessories at least, I'm not sure about the engine and that jazz).

DX
Air conditioning
Power steering
Tilt wheel
AM/FM radio
Dual front air bags

VP
+Power door locks
+CD player

LX
+Power windows

EX
+4 wheel ABS
+Moon Roof
+VTEC engine

These are the differences between the 1999 standard models.

Thats what i know the order of trim level are too. DX, VP, LX, EX. As far as i know. the DX never had aircon and radio. Because when i bought my car, the DX for my year didnt have any aircon or radio. They were both accesories.
