91's are best for me, because they are cheap and I am only going to modify the car anyway ![]() ... 93+ have larger brakes (major bonus), slightly different suspension geomtry and the option for LSD. 94/95s are much more rare, so much more desirable.

well on the american mr2s the turbo didnt change so you may as well just get a 93... (91 - 92 has slight turning problems) and then drop a 3rd gen 3sgte... that comes with a ct20b turbo on it and has 245 hp stock...

The 91/92's have more of a tendency to oversteer which is preferred by most racers ... the 93+ had a slight change in the suspension geometry to decrease the oversteer tendency so the "average driver" would be less likely to get themselve into trouble.
... ghetto buddy, I'm not sure I would say the 91/92 "have a slight problem turning". They happen to turn exactly as they were designed to do ![]() Having owned a variety I find that I prefer the 91 suspension when you add on wider rear tires ... this allows you to keep the "fun" of oversteer while buying some extra "time" when the rear end comes around on you

So, what about the scoop and it's functionality? I'd assume it's very helpful sucking all that air down on the the I/C. (It is on that side right?)

well yes the intercooler is on teh right side to intake air from teh scoop on the side... but if you get the border kit i/c then it repositions it to teh top left of the engine to get air from both the custom scoop that goes over the hood and the scoop on the side

The "toms scoop" is avialable for either side of the car ... and there is no evidence to suggest it is helpful in any regard.
In fact, it more than likely disrupts the air flow through the engine bay as our cars are designed for air to come from the bottom and side scoops and exit through the engine lid.

Jekyl's body features the 6 piece Aeroware body kit: front lip, side skirts (2), rear valance and side scoop (2). The Aeroware side scoops not only have the center piece missing, but they stick out over 1" further into the air stream. Jekyl also has clear corners lenses and the 1997+ MR2 moulding piece that eliminates the front side marker. Notice the car has no ugly orange up front? ... that is why the car looks sooo white. Also all of the moulding was painted white (including around the tail lights and center section). I am trying to get that car as white as possible. You can see Jekyl's "rear" here: http://jekylandhyde.madpowaz.com/JekylPhotos.htm ... there are other photos on that page as well, but a lot of them are older and do not have all of the body kit/work done.

Hmmmmm, don't know, but I have a 91 N/A that had the stock CD/Cassete player with T-tops and it comes out of the spoiler on the passenger side.
