Unhappy 97 318ti starter OK, but won't turn!

Starter, battery, ingition switch OK, but starter won't turn. Reasons? What to check? Where is starter interlock relay located? Thanks, Wlodek

Sounds like an EWS problem. You may have a bad EWS control module or bad torrodial coil. The coil transfers signals to and from your key to the EWS control module which then talks with the dme to release the starter and fuel injectors and spark. Hope this helps and good luck!!
