Mitsubishi FTO in Black Progress (1:1 Replica)

Seeing as i'll be selling my 1:1 FTO soon I figured I make a model of it before it goes. (something i've been meaning to do for 2 years)
That way I can take all the measurements easy.
It is a facelift model with a Version R rear spoiler.
The rear spoiler is scratch built and so is the mods to the front.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to you all

that sucks your selling it. what's coming in place of it, if you don't mind my asking? It looks good. Finally a stock-ish model from you steve.

Hey, they spoiler looks awesome!!! Any pics on the scratchbuilding process? I want to make a similar one for an MR2 so I can make the 98+ wing for the Fujimi kit (stupid box showed a pic of the wing but of course, kit didn't actually come with it). Right now, I have one from the Revell ITR kit, but without extensive mods to it, the wing will actually point downwards... Lift seems to negate the effects of a wing!

The body mods look really good as well. However, all the test subjects I've tried body mods on, I can never seem to get them to look like your guys (smoothness, symmetrical)... What's your secret??? How long do you guys have to sand the darn thing??

clem..

As I have the car, I took measurements of the 1:1 and I have redrawn it in Autocad and the scaled it down to 1:24, printed out and transfered to plastic card, cut out, sanded etc, glued up.

After taking advise from FOTW, I now make most of the body mods with plastic card and only putty gaps etc, this way you can get it even.

Your FTO is hot!!! The 350Z will be an even hotter car though.
Keep us posted on how the build goes.

Is the FTO made by Mitsu? So is it like a cousin or something to the Eclipse? If so, I didn't know that. I just learned something.

I think it's the eclipses step-brother/cousin or something.
