2" lift for 99 Grand Cherokee
I want to lift my 99 Grand Cherokee about 2 inches. I have driven some jeeps with lift kits that seem to wander when lifted, and I heard that with 2" spacers that should not be a problem. Does anyone know if the spacers will still cause some "wandering" on the highway?
Also, I've heard that with the engine weight in front, it might be good to do 1 1/2" spacers in front and 2" in back to keep it level. Anyone know? I want the lift mostly for looks and a little casual off-roading. Can someone let me know if this will work for my needs and estimated cost of 4 spacers? One last question...is this something I can just buy and put on myself? If it is not too involved, I can figure a lot of things out, and I'm pretty mechanically aware, but I just don't have very specialized tools. Thanks |

I suggest the Rubicon Express budget boost. The kit comes with spacers, bump stops and kick a$$ Doetsch shocks that would work with a 4.5" lift. I have the 2" budget boost with 31" BFG's and it's awesome on and off road. Soon to add the 4.5" lift and 33" tires so I can be the only 6.5" lifted ZJ in my town :-)
