99 Lumina 3.1 - Losing Coolant

58K miles, I am losing coolant out of the overflow and some out pf radiator (not much) for 10k. Smelt coolant yesterday. Will have a compression test done. Can't see any fluid. Any ideas. Is there a lot of coolant problems in 99's.
Where is the drainplug for this? I see a weird plastic piece on the driver's side of the radiator. I am afraid I will break it as I tend to force things. Is this the plug?

Check and see if there's any coolant in the oil. If so, it's possible it popped an intake gasket.

I am also experiencing this problem - what was your outcome on this situation. Thanks
