92 Z32 Shell, Bad engine..WHAT TO DO!?
Hi, I'm kinda new on this forum, but a regular on the Silvia S12 forum..
I found a black Z32 with black leather for $1700, because of a bad engine (knocks, so says my dad, but body is almost perfect)). So! My dad and I did some calling and talking, and found that I can get a J30 engine for about $700, and then I could install that into the Z32. I have some questions: Is it worth rebuilding the VG30DE that's in the car already? I think the J30 is the same as the VG, so is this the most practical? Or, should I just get a rebuilt VG, for around $1700? Thanks! |

Re: 92 Z32 Shell, Bad engine..WHAT TO DO!?
Grab the body, dump the engine.
You want a Twin Turbo engine! You'll only pay a bit more for it. The power difference will be astounding. Don't be fooled though, this will be no easy task. Converting an N/A to TT is not easy. But if your up to the task, I guarntee the result will be worth it. If you want to keep it N/A, however, you can find less expensive N/A engines on ebay. |
