I put 92 or 91 in my 95 GS-R and find that I get the best form it. There is a gas station down the road that has 110 octane!!!!!!! I have been told many times though that putting an octane that high in your car without having alot of mods on it then you will actually lose performace because the car doesnt run well as using a simple 91 octane.

Re: premium or regular?

You guy are so cheap. Premium gas will make your engine cleaner, leave less deposit inside engine, run smoother, more milleage per galon, and also give bit up in performance. I live in canada and our gas is more expensive than your and i always had run all my honda`s(86 prelude se, 84 civic 1500s, 89 civic si vtec and my 92gsr-r) with premium and i always notice the difference. The difference for a full tank is maybe 2 dollars!!!

Re: premium or regular?

i put 91 on my civic (91 i think is the highest in our area). even if honda recommends 86 or higher, its a cleaner burn with higher octane rating. i used to put 87 then shifted to 91. you do get better gas mileage with higher octane rating and the difference with the 87 and 91 is minimal in price. the better gas maileage of 91 will compensate for the price when compared to 87.
