Neon not staying on

I have a 95 neon. Since I have paid it off I have so much problems with it (typical). But anyway, someone please help...Whenever I crank the car up it will not stay on. Only if I contiue giving it gas. Could it be the idle sensor or the gas pump.

Does the whole car shutdown? i have a 2001 neon r/t and it has the prob;em of just randomly shuting off. complete power loss. no turn signals or noise. i have taken it to the dealer 2 times and now it is there a 3rd. they say that nothing is wrong. i am getting so pissed off at them. I believe it is were some1 rewir the fog lights to a switch. so they are not dependent of the headlights. but who knows.
