Quick ecotec question

When did Chevy start putting ECOTEC engines in their cavaliers? (year)

2002. Then in '03 it became an option. I do believe that now it is standard in '04 cavys

Its standard in 03 option in 02 get your facts strait.

I went and looked at an '03 and it didn't have the ecotec motor in it. I looked under the hood it wasn't a DOHC motor and defiantely didn't say ecotec on it. But then again I guess the window stick could have been wrong too. Sorry if I misposted. Thanks for the correction.

u don't accidently drop an 2.4L-an engine not produced anymore-into a 2003 car w/ a factory of only 2.2L. the 2.4 would kinda stand out. but the 2.2L ecotec is DOHC, but u would also see ecotec on the valve cover.
