Finished: Nissan Skyline R32

I finished it a few weeks ago, but now I have a new digi cam to take better pictures. Paint is Tamiya TS-59 Pearl Light Red.

Mods:
- Aoshima GT Wing
- carbon hood with "Nismo" decal
- "nismo" decals under the turn signals
- I cut out the front air intakes and added mesh
- 17in. E-Wing III wheels
- A'pexi N1 exhaust

Very clean, though the wing looks a little out of place.

Thanx for the feedback, the engine bay looks really empty. What could I do with the engine to do the wing justice? I have no idea how I could mod it.

Re: Finished: Nissan Skyline R32

How about a monster single turbo upgrade, like i did on my supra (It's been almost a month and i still havent finished it) The turbo is from Testors Metal 18 Wheeler/Big Rig kit.

Re: Finished: Nissan Skyline R32

Mike, not my place to critisize, but couldn't you have done a slightly better job on that intercooler, or has it been in the dust &grime for years like to torino?

some window rubber painting, painting of the GT-R logo on the back, and adding panel lines will make this a mighty fine car!

Its a nice looking model!
As for the engine detailing, I believe that you can modify them as you advance in your modeling..

I have yet to attempt at engines...
Love many detailed engines that I saw here... Especially those SKYLINES!!!

I'm still waiting for my Gundam Marker to do the panel lines. I hope it will arrive soon.

Nice model but I'm with everyone else that engine bay and undercariage is too plain...

I f you want my opinion you can have a much better engine bay and undercariage with just detail painting...For example:

Engine:
-The brake master cylinder...GO for white main paart and yellow cap.
-The battery paint red or yellow the 'button' and add some wire if you want at the poles(or just paint them silver or gold)
-Now on the fuel rail paint it gold and add some silver details...
-Some details on the part the turbo 'sits'
-The Air.FUel meter paint some gold/silver details(it's the part before the induction)

The above details are simplea and will give you a clean and nice angine bay...

Undercarriage:
-Add some colors on the difs and driveshafts...
-Add color to the sway bars....
-Custom paint the shocks...
-Maybe add some temperature marks on the exhaust, deferent color on the cat...

So as you can see you can have a great and detailed car without having scratch building skills!!!
