sandpaper/primer/paint/clearcoat... the colors were a little ricey imo so I redid it all in black. Near-stock looking, but a lot nicer.

I sort of ghettofitted it.. I laid some kind of insulation/styrofoam in there (huge sheet for like $3) and cut it up through guesswork. Then I laid it on top of two pieces of wood.. well here are some old pics of what I did. Miataracer, don't mean to threadjack... you've already got 30-some replies anyways though

I bolted the front sheet of wood to those swivling seat things, so I can lift the whole thing up like a chest or something. Made for an easy fuel pump install. (Those wooden 2x2's holding it up were there for pic purposes only)




These pics of my friend's car were taken more than a year ago when he had n2o on an EX engine. Now he has turbo/n2o on it and his best time is 13.8 in the 1/4. His hatch setup sort of inspired mine.
