What do you guys think is the maximum horsepower/torque you could crank out of an NA 22re? Ballpark

depends on if you have deep pockets or not.

with a reasonable amount of money into it ($4000) you can be pumping out around 190hp with a dual carb setup and a 20R head.

there are plenty of people out there with 220hp hybrids with dual carbs but have nearly $6000+ invested. and have a lot of one-off things done that would be nearly impossible to replicate.

if you wanted to go all out and had lots of money you could probably get the car into the 250hp range with an individual throttle body setup with full engine management lightened and knife-edged crank. huge lift cam big duration. dual valve springs aluminum rockers. new rocker shafts huge valves custom built headers and exhaust and some extreme porting and polishing. and super high compression (13:1+) but this wouldnt be a streetable motor unless you enjoy paying out the ass for race fuel all day long.

a reasonable all out NA street 22R will probably be between 165-200hp on pump gas and lots of work.

ive got probably $500 invested in my 20R right now and im probably pushing 120hp at the flywheel
