The day you get that engine to run low 14's without blowing up will be a miracle. Sorry I ever offered you any kind of advice. Coming to a board and asking for help and then treating your responders this way is a sure-fire way of getting called this: and this:

It seems like you are an ignorant car builder, and with your advice you seem to not know your ass from a hole in the ground. The "offer" you and 95 GSX both gave me was WRONG. You both thought the 4G37 acts like the 4G63, but this engine runs on a more mechanical base, and doesn't need to be babied. As for you, the day I run 11's, I will take it to your house and have you race me. And the day I do that is next year, so expect me at your door step. Have a good day.

By the way, that would be a VR-4 dip shit.

wrong again Mr. 1.8 guru.
The Galant VR-4 was only made in 91 and 92.

please. stick to your 1.8.

I'll be waiting. And what do you mean the 4G37 runs on a more mechanical base....... All engines use crankshafts , connecting rods , pistons , valves etc. Thats pretty damm mechanical. And the 4G63 doesn't need to be babied either , in fact the 89-92 versions can run 500 Hp out of the box. I seriously doubt your engine can do that.
And since you obviously know NOTHING about Galants , and DSM's in general , I guess I need to explain the fundamental differences between a Galant VR4 and a Galant GSX to you.
The Galant VR4 has the turbo 4G63 , and AWS , and AECS. The Galant GSX is non-turbo , and has none of the other components , but still AWD. The only non-turbo AWD car Mitsubishi sold here , in fact. Its one step below the GVR4 on the options ladder. Easily converted to turbo , and being a simple AWD arrangement , it will take all the other components that the E/T/L cars have.
Seems to me you don't know jack about your own car , so don't go telling others that they don't know about theirs.

Your spouting BS. You are wrong about the AECS. But that has been discussed in another thread (locked becasue of your ignorance and stubborness -- as stated by a moderator).

Funny how my FACTORY manual says they do , and gives details on how to fix it , and test it. Everyone always insists that I am wrong , but they can offer no proof other than "I know about 20 guys with GVR4's and none of them have it." When does the word OPTION start to sink in? If it was standard ALL the models would have it. I even know that they all do not. But everyone keeps insisting that it does not even exist on the US spec cars. THEN HOW COME MY FACTORY MANUAL ISN'T IN JAPANESE?

??? My ford f150 manuel had three different engines in it? Yea so the manuel says. But when I look under the hood it only has one engine. You don't even have a vr-4, no US spec. galant vr-4 has AECS. And not one has the option to have it either? So, does the (JDM) Galant vr-4 version that has the AECS have leather? No it doesn't but the mauel says some come with leather, but only the US spec models had leather the rest had cloth interiors.... Have you enven seen a vr-4? I really can't believe you know so little about Galants and DSM's in general... So I bet you think galants are DSM's.......

Standard Equipment on the US Galant VR-4
This is a list of most of the important equipment that is standard on the VR-4. Of course the car comes with doors and silly stuff like that.

turbo-charged, intercooled, Mitsubishi 16-valve 2.0 litre engine rated at 195 hp @ 6000 rpm and 203 lb-ft of torque @ 3000 rpm
five-speed manual overdrive transmission
four-wheel independant suspension
four-wheel disk brakes with anti-lock feature (two-channel)
full-time all-wheel-drive with a center viscous coupler (indefinitely variable with a standard 50/50 torque split)
power-assist speed-sensative four-wheel steering (same-phase up to 1.5 degrees, above 30 mph) - with a "4WS" sticker for the rear window.
power-assist windows (with driver's side "auto down"), door locks, mirrors, and radio antenna
full function cruise control
speed-variable windshield wipers (with intermittent feature)
leather seating surfaces (driver's seat has 3-position lumbar support)
security system
ETR AM stereo/FM stereo/casette/graphic equalizer sound system with 6 speakers and auxiliary CD input (ETR AM/FM stereo cassette w/6 speakers was standard in '91)
Projector-type fog lights
carpetded floor mats
rear window defogger
15x6.0 JJ color-keyed cast aluminum alloy wheels (8-spoke for '91; 5-spoke for '92) with 195/60R15 Bridgestone Potenza RE88 tires (H-rated in 1991 and V-rated in 1992)
available in a limited number of colors: Nile Black Metallic, Summit White, or Belize Green Metallic for '91. Kensington Grey Metallic was added for the 1992 model.
Rear spoiler with LED high-mount stop light
driver-selectable instrument panel backlight
leather wrap steering wheel and shifter knob
special limited edition badge on dash board that states the car's number (n of 2000 for '91 or n of 1000 for '92), special limited edition key fob with car's number, and special leather auto document holder.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Factory Options available on the Galant VR-4
This is the list of options available from the factory for the Galant VR-4.

ETR AM/FM stereo/cassete/graphic equalizer with compact disk player and 6 speakers (ETR AM stereo/FM stereo/cassette/graphic equalizer w/6 speakers and auxiliary jack for portable CD player was optional for the '91 model)
Power sliding glass sunroof with integral sliding sunshade

No , I know they are not because they were built in Japan. DSM 's were built here. Thats junior DSM knowledge. But they are considered a part of the DSM line by most DSM'ers. Several guys in the local DSM club have VR4's. But funny how none of them claim to be member's of GalantVR4.org. And so what if I don't have a GVR4? I have a GGSX , which IS one step below it on the options ladder. Sorry if mine doesn't have turbo , which I know this is what all this is about. I know how DSMer's are , they treat the NT guys like dirt. And you say for certain no US spec Galant has AECS , but I know for a fact you are wrong , because one of the local DSM'ers has an AECS equipped Galant the same year as mine.
