This is not a flame...
...but rather a perspective. First, click on this link: http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclec...s-50fast.shtml Second, tell me, of the fifty "Fastest Muscle Cars", how many are Fords, and of that, how many are Mustangs? Okay...that's for the "Mustang is Classic Muscle" jockeys. Now... Third, of the "Fastest Modern Domestic Muscle Cars", how many of those are Mustangs GTs? Of all the "Muscle Cars", how many have a stock blown V8? Based on my perspective, the vaunted 2003 Cobra has just barely gotten to the performance-point the ZR1 was 13 years ago...without a blower. The 1995 Mustang Cobra R was still slower than an older 1993 Supra that only has a 6-cylinder. Chevy has stayed true to its reputation as a "Muscle Car" builder, IMHO, while Ford has not...until recently, when it got the brilliant idea of putting a supercharger on it's underpowered V8's. C'mon...Honda's V6s, either made similar to greater power there for a while...even now. Honda, ALSO stayed true to it's path, producing less-expensive, but comfortable plus fun economical cars...that recently have been finding more and more speed as time goes by. Think about it. Here's to the Ford fans who weren't fanboys...who, instead of turning a blind eye to Ford's recent performance, got instead on their butts, and made the 2003 Cobra possible.Just a perspective, folks.
