Like Mr. Happy said, be thankful school is the only thing infringing on your modeling time. I don't have kids yet, but work, wife, and man of the house responsibilities are already a handful.

I am a midnight modeler. 90% of my work gets done between 11pm and 3am. I'm surprisingly alert this late. College was good for something (grin).

I work on my models on school nights. In the winter, I usually find it hard to work on them because i go snowboarding everyday. (i live 5 mins from a ski area, so its close)

You're lucky, 5 min? Dang. Do you live that far up in the mountains?

Yeah, and when I grow up I want to become an engineer, so I really have to work hard.

when i was in grade school i would clean parts while i studied and did homework. that way when the weekend came around i had plently of stuff to paint and glue. if you can do this and maybe set aside 30 minutes a night to paint as well you would be suprised at how much modelling you can get done. now im in auto-racing mechanic school and i like to believe modelling is homework! when i got out of school years ago i actually found that the extra time hurt my modelling because i was impatient. school gives paint and things proper time to dry. just make a good schedule. any student should have 30 minutes a night of free time.
