Question 2000 Grand Am GT-Abs

When I start car abs, service engine light & trac off lights are off. I will drive aprox. 1-2 miles then lights go on and stay on. Is this an error in the computer codes, a defective relay and is it ok to drive the car? Excuse me if these questions have been asked I am new to this forum. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your vehicle should still be under warranty. Take it in to the dealer and let them take a look at it. Could be electrical or even an alternator.

Yes have a qualified shop run a Scan tool on it and check to see what is going on with the system. You are safe to drive it but the longer you go without having the problem fixed the worse and more expensive it will get.

Sounds like you have a bad or disconnected ABS sensor. You can check the connection by removing the wheel and checking the connector on the backside of the brake rotor.
