Question Ahhh where to start...

FIrst let me start by saying hello to everyone as this is my first post here. I bought a 2000 Impala LS, with 12 valve v-6 a few months ago and like it okay thus far. Haven't done anything yet so my engine is completely stock. Everything has been fine so far but I need more power. This is the first car I have had that I really cared for enough to do anything to so I am going to try and beef up the engine a bit. My question to you folks is where would be a good place for me to start at?

Also, what is the most cost efficient mod to give me the best horsepower gain?

u want more H/P? sell ur 2000 impala and go buy a 96 SS.
but if that's not an option, then check this site: http://www.rsmracing.com/impala.htm . there isn't really much out there that i'm aware of, maybe NOS would be ur best option.

I find it funny how people keep saying that a 96 Impala SS is so much faster than a 2003 LS, Yeah they are faster but they only have 60 more horse(or so Gm says i say 280 to 300 unmodified) but still with a couple small mods to a new Impala you could get it to be just as fast especially because of the new one weighing 500lbs less.

according to my sources, '96 impala SS 260 HP, 03' impala 200 HP, so yea SS has 60 HP more, but there are more mods out there for SS than the new impala's, so even if u mod it equally, SS still comes out ahead 60 HP, which is quite a bit of a difference.
