Angry Just wrecked my car.

I guess I don't have a car anymore. I had an 87 Mercedes Benz 190E. It was my only car and I don't think I can get another one. I was driving last night, and where I live because of my age I can't drive after 11 p.m. So, my brother decided to drive. He is a pretty good driver but he goes pretty fast. Anyway, we had gone into my friend's house for a while and then decided to go to my house. My brother had to drive, and so my friend was sitting shotgun and I was in the back. The thing we didn't realize was while we were inside my friend's house, it had rained a lot. It had been raining all day, but it had rained a lot when we were inside. So we were driving and we went on this one road that has some pretty big turns. We went around one turn a little to fast, and the car started sliding. Now, like I said my brother is a pretty good driver, and so he was handling it pretty good, but at one point we were almost completey sideways, still going pretty fast. Then he thought he could pull out of the slide but I guess he over-corrected of something, and sent us straight off the road. We went from about 40 or 45 to a complete stop. We went right into a huge ditch. I don't really remember it because I ducked down to cover my face because huge tree branches were coming in the windows, but we went into a huge hole that was about 7 feet deep. Then we went up the other side, so basically my entire car was off the road, and below the level of the road, but the front tires were on one side of the hole and the back ones were on the other side. We had knocked over a lot of small trees. I opened my eyes and I was surrounded by dust and smoke, I heard my friend in the front saying it was going to catch on fire, so I was trying to get out. To paint a picture for you, basically we were in a huge hole, below the road level, almost on the side of the car, and we were completey surrounded by trees, that were pressing up against all sides of the car. We had sort of made our own trail. So, I slid across the back seat and jumped out, I still thought it was about to blow up, so I got out and started running, out of the back passenger side door. Both driver side doors couldn't be opened because all the weight of the car was on them, and there huge trees pressing up against them. So anyway, me and my friend jumped out of both of the passenger side doors at the same time, but he fell in a hole, and slid under the car. He got burned by some hot pipe or exhaust or something, and started yelling for me to help him, I turned around and pulled him out. Then my brother climbed across the seat from the driver seat to the passenger seat, and jumped out. We didn't know what to do, so we started throwing stuff away, that was inside the car. We had a lot of fireworks, and where I live they are illegal inside city limits, so we crawled back into the car, and tried to get as much of them out as possible. Then someone came by, and asked us if we needed a ride. We got a ride back to my friend's house. When we went inside, I was the only one that didnt have lots of damage. My brother got hit in the nose by the airbag, and was bleeding. My friend hadn't been wearing a seat belt, his face had smashed against the windshield and the dash. He was bleeding from his mouth and nose. We got cleaned up, and went back to the crash site in my friend's jeep. We took a tow cable, and tried to pull it out, but we just put in on a huge pile of dirt, and it was stuck. Then when we were about to leave the cops came. They asked us our information and if we had been drinking. Then he called something to pull it out, and we went home. The bad part is that since its such an old car, the price of the repair is more than the value of the car, so the insurance company is going to call it totaled and take it away. Now I don't really have a car, and probably won't be able to get a new one.

Your brother is a jerk. Any "good" driver knows to slow down to appropriate speeds for conditions. Sorry to hear about your friend, you and your car.

Oh man, that really sucks, hopefuly your brother learned a lesson, as not to be a speed demom, specifically in wet weather. Sorry to hear about the car too, hopefuly you can get all better, it seemed like one hell of an accident.

On the bright side, that was some real hood writing perhaps you should take up journalism . . . uhh yeah?

Yeah, he might help me get a car. I don't know though. He has around 5,000 dollars that he has saved that he isn't doing anything with, so he might help, but I think he might buy a car for himself. I don't know.

Oh that's cool, he totals your car and goes and buys himself a car?

May I ask what your parents taught him as far as responsibility?

Glad to hear you guys are not hurt badly.

I don't know how much insurance is going to give you for that car, but your brother should damn well buck up some $$ so you can get into something like it.

glad to hear you guys are alive.. you hear about these speeding teens thinking they are in a movie set killing themselves around the country every weekend.
A very similar story occurred here in my hometown. 5 highschool kids in a Taurus SHO speeding down a windy road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree, only this bunch wasn't as lucky as you guys were. 4 died and 1 remained paralyzed.
Don't think your brother is a good driver, if he was, you'd still have your car. Whenever i drive someone else's car i drive it like a grandma just to avoid shit like this.
Now you're going to go from a Mercedez to a Civic. thank your brother everytime you get into your new tin can.

You're just lucky that your friend wasn't killed in the accident. Who the hell doesn't wear their seatbelt?!?!?!? That's just stupid.

You should smack him for being stupid, and you should smack your brother harder for being stupid AND crashing your car!!!!

Um, you totalled your car in a shocking accident, and then worried about getting busted for firework possession?

Yeah, the reason we worried about the fireworks is because the police were trying to find a reason to make it seem like it was our fault. If we had fireworks then he probably would have said that we werent paying attention to the road, and that we had illegal stuff. Then he could put it on the accident report and it migh affect the insurance or something. This is sorta the reason, but mostly it was just because it would have looked bad to pull the car out and have tons of lighters and fireworks all over the inside.

Pussy. If you're that dumb to break the law and THEN have your brother total the car, you had it coming.

You pretty much got what you deserved, based on all your actions.

WTF are you talking about? The only thing we did was have a few fireworks that I thought we should throw away so the police wouldn't get pissed. It wasn't like we were doing anything wrong, its just that technically your not allowed to have them inside the city. And that was the only thing we did wrong, so don't about "our actions" because its not like we were all drunk and speeding or something. We didn't do anything wrong at all.

The act of not disclosing relevant infomation that would affect your insurance is insurance fraud.

Not speeding? Didnt you just say your brother lost control because he was?
