I don't really like any of those, perhaps the 206 because of its WRC fame but that is it.

The ZR and ZS are both nice- but the ZS is an EG Honda Civic underneath- which is a nice chassis but too old for the price, the ZR is also a Rover 200 not a nice chassis and old. Great engines though

The Corolla is too boring for me nice engine though.

The 2O6 RC and Clio RS are both fabulous in every respect- as is te Civic Type R and Stilo- but the Stilo is too heavy, the Civic too crass for every day use.

It's the 3 French ones in the end- but I'd give the nod to the Xsara- as I'm 6'5 and it's that much more comfy for me- otherwise it goes to the Clio

I've only listed cars sold on the European market. Indeed, a comparison between cars not sold on the same market (regarding the price range) would be very difficult

But I think that the Mégane RS 225hp will be excellent and it will cost about 27K€ only. Available in January 2004.

The Silvia was once sold in the UK...as the 200SX...but not anymore...I would look for one used or sitting in a lot...by far the best of all those cars

Ah! It's the 200SX, I didn't know. It was sold here too, but it's not the same kind of car ! It's bigger, more Grand Tourisme like the 406 Coupé, the 3ci, the Celica, etc.

So what you are saying is like a hatch of some sort...

Ford Cosworth or Focus R...

AWD and turbo...220HP...good!

IMHO bringing a Silvia (RWD Turbo charged Coupe) is like bringing a gun to a sword fight- a little out of these cars league as is the Focus RS- the ST170 is the best rival for these cars

The Focus ST170 costs about the same price. But if you want something as compact but more expensive (Focus 220), there are the Alfa 147 GTA, the Renault Clio V6, the VW Golf R32, the Audi S3, etc.
And there, the Focus is not very good at all.
