1/4 Track times
i just went to the track and here are some of my times. Spec v with H&R 1.5 coils, 18" RS Limited wheels with parada spec 2 215/35 tires.
Reation time 60' time 1/4 time MPH .897 2.301 15.879 86.23 .915 2.315 16.075 85.42 1.080 2.298 15.911 85.93 .928 2.323 15.968 85.85 1.159 2.312 16.120 85.42 I know this isnt very good but ther were alot of other cars doing 16.5 and higher, ex: civics, svt focus, and preludes. I also saw an EVO 8 run 14.5's a couple of times it went. i dont know if he didnt know what he was doing, but i thought they were faster. There was an STI that did a 13.2 ish and so on but he had a lot of work done. I talked to one person there that his friend had a spec and it did a 15.3. but i dont know if he had slicks on or what but he said it was stock. So i dont know about you guys but i expected a little better numbers, but oh well, i need to work on my take offs and maybe get some 15's with some better tires.

i agree you need to run smaller wheels, but most of 15's will not fit over caliper on front. A guy i work with has exact spec v as me except red and he ran a 14.9 the other night at track completly stock. I was there to see it or i would not have belived it. He went to finals and lost by .03 sec. so he can drive, and that can make all the difference in 1/4

i am also not really hardcore about my quarter mile time. i like to take corners at 80 and just street race. i know the faster your 1/4 the faster you are. but that was the first time i had gone and i left my car exactly how i drive it every day, i didnt drop tire pressure or take out my back seat. i dont really want to spend days on days trying to perfect my 1/4 time. i am trying to finish my stereo so i can compete with it but i just dont have alot of time. weight is not a big issue but i am not doing some huge box or anything so that my weight doesnt get out of control. i have an intak on the way, what should i do next.
header balance shaft removal fly wheel pulleys give me some input on what you guys have done and what gives you alot of gain. thnx

well you're 60' isn't too bad, it could use some work but it isn't that bad. The R/T sucks, but it doesn't factor into your 1/4 ET so that doesn't matter, it just looks like your car wasn't going that fast. Your trap speeds and ET are worse than mine were in an SE with a wai and short shifter alone. I don't know what to tell you, how were the conditions? You might want to try going back on a 50* night with less than 40% humidity. You'll find that conditions make the times really, just going a different day in my car brought be from a 15.8 to a 16.4 and vice versa.

it was about 90 out that day and i dont know the humidity. i didnt have much wheel spin but i never droped the clutch from 5 grand or above. i tried to feather it out. i didnt get that many runs and i didnt try a whole lot of different things. this is a starting point for me and im sure i will get better the more i run, but i also want to get some parts.

wassup guys i was at the track last week down at racewaypark in englishtown nj. I ran a 15.2 with my best run. before that i was running a constant 15.6 but i let off the clutch at a little higher rev and feathered it out. Man did the car launch. i was really happy with the time comming from a 15.6 down to a 15.2. i need more speed tho
so im gonna do some more mods. only gotz an aem cold air intake. want more tho.

i have now got my intake and i bypassed my knock sensor. this made a huge difference. before i did this it felt like i always had the a/c on compared to how it is now. i would really recomend you to bypass your knock sensor. I really dont think an intake would make such a huge imporvement. it is cheap, simple, and very easy to do. the car has alot more power from 1 to 6.3 grand, a tramendus difference. i live in WI so i dont know if you live where the humidity is lower if it will not have as big as an affect. but i cant even discribe how big of a difference this made. my other post called "knock sensor removal" will tell you how to do it. i also am getting some motor mounts that are filled with polyurathane to try to get ride of wheel hop. they are factory mounts that are filled.

What's up bro, the best did was a 14.7. My car has intake, header, exhaust and Pulley. Not really sure if that's good for those mods or should be getting better times. For the guy that saw his friends car run a 14.9 ( stock ) he must be one hell of a driver or he got lucky and got a freak car. Whoever was running that EVO 8 running 14's needs more practice. This guy that joined our club www.kutsujuracing.com first time ever running his car out at the track ran a best of 13.7 w/a 60ft of 1.8 or 1.9. Anyway way keep practicing and you'll get it.
