Separating Type R Tranaxle from Engine Block
I recently purchased a JDM Type R engine and it's sitting on a pallet in my garage. I would like to remove the transaxle and install a new clutch and flywheel. I've removed all the bolts that appear to connect the two pieces, but they will not separate. Is there a hidden trick? I am not familiar with Honda motors.
Second, does anyone know the torque specification for the small 12mm bolts that hold on the gear cover on the bell housing. Thank you |

you'll prolly need two people cuz when i seperated my motor we had to jiggle it up and down a bit while using a prybar in the seam of the tranny/engine. after a few whacks at it, it came apart.
