Aem V2+gsr=good!

i finally got my aem v2 on the 9th and decided to install it tonight. lots of ppl ask questions about this intake , so i guess i will tell you my opinion on it.... first its HUGE, i showed to to my friends b4 it was installed and they said it was almost as big as they dicks.....but ya.... neways its huge, its a bitch to install took me like 2 1/2-3 hours ... cause you gotta replace a buncha shit and remove a bunch of things in your engine bay , like one of the engine mounts.... but neways i got finished with this about 30 minutes ago and took a little ride and it sounds about the same for normal driving, just a little deeper, but i punched it and it sounds soooooooooooooo nice got a really deep sound till vtec hits and ya .....uh damn..... all i got to say . i have a completely stock car and have never done mods so i cant really compare it to a normal cold air intake but my car did seem faster.... so i give the aem v2 a uhhhhhh 8 . took off 2 points just because it was a bitch to install and it costs about $240 on ebay.

I just wanted to see how it fit in there. Pathway and stuff. I've been trying to decide what intake to get. So I've been collecting as much info on each that I can, testimonials and what not. Thanks man

sorry my brother stayed on his boat longer than he was supposed to but hes getting back in about an hour and ill get those pictures. i cant get the pictures of where the intake runs cause im too tired to take off my wheel and the shielding but ill try to do that tomorrow or the next day, but check back in like ....hour 1/2 - 2hours and ill have the pic of the engine bay. ill tell you now that you have to replace the engine mount and you have to move the ac line over about 2 inches and you have to replace the coolant tubes with the ones aem supplies . oh and take out the stock resonater which is pretty easy. but you wont regret getting the v2 its pimp! get it off of ebay, its on their for around $240 . aem sells it for $386 i think....which is a rip

I wonder if there's much difference between the 97 and 99 GSR's. Did you just have to move the engine mount to get a whole different one? Did it come witht he V2? Sounds like it was quite the pain to install. Thanks for takin some pics it will be a real help.

everything you need comes with the v2. -engine mount, tubes,clamps...ect. its actually not that hard to install, it just takes a while to figure out what the instructions are talkin about but if you have any questions im sure i can help you out . moving the ac lines over is the toughest cause they are metal tubes and dont seem like they can be moves at all but you just gotta work with em and they will move jsut enough . and i got those pictures , i have like 5 i guess ill post em all i jsut gotta go edit em so its clearer what the pictures are of .

Right on man, that sounds kick ass. I'll have to look into gettin that, I think i'm going to go with Blue for the visible parts of my engine. it's Dark green metalic body.
