B18C(SiR-G) into 94 DX coupe
I want to swap a jdm obd1 B18C into a 94 DX coupe and I think I heared somewhere that a combination of stock Civic and Integra mounts can be used if the motor is a B-series w/hydraulic tranny....so i am wondering which mount from the civic and which from the integra is utilized? Also, can I use the jdm axles that come with the swap or will custom axles be needed? What else should I consider if doing the swap?

what's up i think in another thread i read on here that the civic and integra motor mounts can be used. well i know i read it and if i recall right they said that the integra rear mount and the driver side mount was used and the civic mount was used for the one that bolts directly to the frame. On the second question you can use the mounts that came with the integra engine but make sure they're still good you don't want to install them and then 10min down the road they break. If they're not any good just go to an autoparts store and order the gsr axles. I'm thinkin about doin the same swap to my 95 civic sedan. let me know how it turns out if you don't mind my email is [email protected] and if you can pictures of the process would be appreciated. holla back

the tranny side mount is used from the integra, and the civic mount of the drivers side is used. and the integra mount is used for the rear. i used 99 si axles i think( 99 % sure ). i used hasport linkage, i guess you can use like ls linkage or something like that, but my car never grinds so it was worth it, but if you use the hasport linkage you need to get a b series bushing where the stabilizer bar connects to the tranny, and the washer and bolt that come w/ it from honda, also i don't remeber if we used a b series linkage pin or if it was the d series??? sorry. i would get new axles, there just easier to change while everything is out, and you don't wanna get in and take a corner and hear that clicking noise. also if you get the jdm engine, they are right hand drive cars so the fire wall is switched around, so you plug your dx harness into the jdm engine wire harness to bring the plugs back to the passenger side. you need to wire up the vtec, knock sensor, vtec pressure, vtec oil, vtec ground and few more wires for the vtec to work, you can get a harness from hasport ( which you dont need ), but the harness will make it easier to wire the vtec and knock sensor ( which the d series don't have ). i don't have that harness we just pinned the wires that we made right to the ECU. check out hasport, they have a lot of swap info on there page.
www.hasport.com and i always forget the link the hybrid garage, but thats where i got my info on pinning the ecu, and wiring up the rest of the swap. also when i ordered my dc sports header ( i put in on the engine before the engine went in the car ), my header didn't come w/ an O2 bunge ( nut to hold the O2 sensor ), you can get the bunge from like advanced auto, thats where i got mine, maybe i got the wrong b series header or something??? where is everyones O2 sensor in there jdm b18c ( sir-G )??? any other Q's ask them, i have the same engine in my 95 DX coupe.
