I did say "On a more serious note" hence admitting that calling the Focus WRC out as an AWD Focus was being petty.
You can buy an AWD, but in very limited quantities.
Due to the homologation rules of the WRC, Ford is required to produce a minimum number of AWD Focus models for consumer purchase, this is a specific rule for WRC homolgation of a car, not more than 50 need to be produced in a year for the car to be deemed production based.
If you have the money, you can own one, they are limited in numbers though.

Please find some reliable source for me that says that Ford actually built road-going AWD Focus models. Because this is what I've found from the WRC's official site...
"[World Rally Cars are] familiar because the FIA stipulates that every World Rally Car must originate from its fourseater road-car and be available to the general public (so at least 25,000 of them must have been built). But that's where the similarities end..."
