Performance Mods for Car

I'm sure this kind of thing's been posted more than once in the future, but here goes my spin on it.

My parents bought me a new 2003 Civic LX with an auto tranny. I've nothing to complain about since it's a car nonetheless, but I've been looking... in vain... for performance parts for this model and tranny in particular.

Could you guys help me out here.

What mods are workable for this model and tranny? I.e. intake, exhaust.

If possible, maybe someone out there could tell me what kind of engine swap or mods I can do with this d17a1 engine. I.e. rebuilding it, tc, sc?

All the feedback in the world is appreciated. Post a lot for me to learn.

I may be mistakin, but i dont believe the tranny matters, when it comes to modding out your engine, as long as it isnt a clutch or ne thing like that. A CAI for a 03 LX will fit ne 03 LX regardless of what type of tranny it has.
