A friend of mine has a WRX and I have to say its a nice little car. The only problem is a little turbo lag and its ceramic so the could (and have, so I've read) desintagrate at high RPM for long times. Also the waist gate starts dumping about 6500 so you don't get that last push of turbo when winding out or downshifting. Also it only runs with a 14.7 Psi boost. It also lacks a turbo boost gauge.

As for the MY01 Impreza WRX, anyone who really cares should know by now that it has nothing to do with visual appearance which makes the car significant. Some have even gone to describe the WRX as 'cute', which I cannot disagree with--it does look cute. But that's not what the WRX is all about, right? After all, if Subaru intended for its rally cars to look like a sports exotic, then they would not have started with a saloon body. But what does it matter, it drives like an exotic.

Previous generation WRX was lighter by almost 200 lbs I think. The new generation have much stiffer body.
