The only support Saddam got from the U.S. was during the Iraq-Iran war. This started a year after him coming to power long after his orders of the murder of all opposing political officials and the use of chemical weapons on the Kurdish in northern Iraq, who opposed him. He had already used his scare tactics to secure his place as leader. U.S. support didn't keep him in power.

Isn't it fascinating how he came to power right when he was needed? Who gave him the chemical weapons? Who helped him become armed? Who supported him against Iran even AFTER gasing? Do you know WHY the US supported him against Iran? Did you know that the reason he opposed the Kurds was because he wanted the oil which the north was abundant in? On a side note his proposal was like a zig zag pattern cutting out all the oily areas and giving nothin to the kurds. Did the US seriously wana remove him even during the gulf war? Who gave the iraqi gov. the intel against the iranians? Question; what happened between Iran-Iraq-US? Hmm..

Also isn't it interesting how Iraq has been the enemy right now and woah look at that IRAN.. I've been spouting this for months since i noticed the propaganda and the usual 'evidence' bullshit that even started before Iraqi war against Iran... look now.. is iran the next target? Please discuss this in the other thread i made and lets continue this there. This is Belgium war crimes thread :/

haha so you can have the last word
but you're right about this being the wrong thread
(surprisingly i cant find this iraq-iran thread your taking about, maybe its b/c this forum is full of your countless threads of articles you find on the internet, not actually something you came up with and would like to discuss hmmm....)
im very sick of the discussions that always come up, the bush/american gov't haters vs. the supporters so i think i'll be leaving, theres no way to sway any viewpoints, it's all pointless (i won't quote the "special olympics" remark, it seems pretty played out) Both sides bring up good points and both sides bring up false info that just keeps the circle going round and round and round....
but heck, i'm 15, what do i know about politics
