Question Need help diagnosing idling issues

I recently purchased a 1991 Accord. The former owner warned me of a 'bouncy' idle. Almost immediately after starting, the car will idle to 3,000 then drop to 1,000 non-stop. It will continue this annoying idle while in drive (stopped @ stop-light). I've been told it could be clogged injectors, vacuum leak, or something to do w/ Mass Airflow Sensor? Any other hints or confirmations as to what could cause this, and how I can fix it? Thanx

Here's my 2c:

See if you can lower the idle with the idle screw. This usually fixes the problem. If not....

It probably is your EACV. Just take it out, clean all the crud out of the two ports with carb cleaner stick it back on. Replace the two o-rings without fail. Reset the ECU and you should be set.

Also search the forums for "EACV" and "idle".

Good luck!
