Thumbs up

Looks good man. Can't wait to get back over to Dumfries. I'm not certain, but I don't even think I've hit that particular trail. There is so much back there, I'm sure there are tons of routes I haven't hit though.

Schlud, methinks you meant you were responding to Harbones' comment, correct? Otherwise, I'm confused.

Just getting my boards confused. The slow crossing part I confused with your comment on Voy.

Ag... nice man! How are you liking those new MT's? Treating you well?

Brent, that's the section just before where you did the crossing, I think. Ag's climbing the bank to the left of where you crossed. Hey Ag, when did you go? We were just there! We should have seen you if it was Saturday.

i love my MTR's. traction is great over all surfaces i've encountered so far. the crossing to my left here is where we broke a range rover. it blew its transfer case and could not be driven at all. i had to tow him out about 1/2 miles back out to the street by the hampton inn. we were there on sunday. one of the bikers there said that he saw about 7 xterras and one frontier there the day before.

Yep, I know that spot. I was surprised you made it over that Bob, didn't think the stock tires would have the grip especially with that root all the way across.

AG, did the Rover attempt the crossing? If so, what the heck did he do to manage to blow his transfer case. It was a pretty clean bed other than one pillow-sized rock a little off center. I stayed towards the shore you are on in the pic and had no problem.

I assume you didn't go any further back on that trail. Bob got hung up at the next crossing and since it was getting late we decided to head back, we hadn't run the hillclimbs yet anyway. I do plan to explore further down that trail next time.

i think you may be thinking of a different crossing. here is the crossing spot that the other rover broke his transfer case over. his front tires got up but he didnt have enough momentum to get over the obstacle. when he backed up to try again and put it back into drive all we heard was a crunch and bang. that was the end of him. winch and tow strap to the rescue.
