no, you need an ohm meter or you can take it somewhere and they can narrow down what is wrong.

1. turn your key in the ignition to the II pisition and listen to hear the fuel pump turn on.
2. if the works, then undo the fuel line comin out of the fuel filter and make sure that fuel is coming out of the filter and that its clean. 3. test the coil as i showed you how. you might want to look at the ecu and see if it is throwing any codes that'll tell you right away guys, add more if you know any. |

STOP!!
To test ingtion coil get a test light. Have a friend help you for this one. Put the alligator clip on the bat. ground. Put the probe end of the test light on the negative termianl of the coil and tunr over. It should storbe. Do it to the postive side of the igntion termianl. It should be a steady light. Now put the probe in the igntion tower. I beilaive the light should strobe. If it fails any test, replace coil. $95 from honda, about $55-60 form discount. I might have the psotive and negative coil parts backwards, now i can't rember.

I just replaced the dizzy about 6 months ago. A guy told me if I run it hard it could go bad. He also said they are bad about going out on our cars. How do I check it? Also how do I check the main relay?

You can check to make sure you are getting sparks from each plug. This would narrow things down considerably. To do so -
Take out one of the spark plug boots (the connection into the spark plug itself) - get an insulated screwdriver, hold it near the end of the boot, and have someone else crank the engine. If you see sparks jumping, the entire supporting electrical system is most likely okay. If all of the plugs are ok, then something is messed up within your motor, or maybe a spark plug itself is screwed up. If you're getting sparks from the wire, you can visually inspect the actual spark plugs for damage...an extremely fouled tip or cracked insulation can cause it not to fire. Be sure the handle is insulated, btw - the voltage coming out of the coil is really, really high.

Could it be my ignitor? How can I check this, I got a new coil just have to put it in tomarrow to see if that was it. Actually I went ahead and got a new dizzy cap, coil, and rotor button. So where would I find and how would I check my ignitor if none of those were wrong? Also where and how do I check my main relay?
