So we should just take your word for it then, and not listen to the hundreds of people who say don't get Phantom Grip, and provide reasons why there are better LSDs out there. (why most hardcore racers are using Cusco, Kaaz, and Quaife)

You're projecting the image that you know a lot about them, and I was wondering if you could explain to me how they allow your differential to function normally in corners when its infact a spring loaded box that just jams open when you put it in there and it binds the differential together.

Like I said, there are no working parts to a Phantom Grip.. If it was so cheap, and so much better, wouldn't all the racers be running them.

Still about Phantom grip.

You have a point SiZ...

But so do I...

And its thats you're going by "hear-say" and not personal experience. Hundreds of People??? Where??? I dont know more than a handful that have an aftermarket lsd, let alone a Phantom Grip. Im going by my own personal experience, not online chat sessions.

The guy who started the thread asked for alternatives, and the Phantom Grip is definitely one of them. Do your research Redcivic and ask someone who actually HAS a Phantom Grip before you become biased against them.

I have a friend that has installed at least 50 of these units since they were introduced, and he told me NOT ONE person has complained about it. I'd like to have a Quaife as well, but I am not shelling out $1000 when theres nothing wrong with my Honda differential.

i had a good 15-20 min discussion with my mechanic bout this today(actually i spoke to another one two, both very well known and respected). they said too much things and used too many words that i dont even know what they mean so im not gonna go over it word by word. but both seem to agree on a few things quaif is good real good, but also very expensive example the money you use to buy a tranny,($350 or so) quaif($1000) labor to install quaif inot tranny then tranny to motor($650 or so) i used there prices. now you got a $2000 approx. tranny. if you go to a acura delarship you can get a brand new 0 miles acura integra type r tranny, for yes, you guessed it $2,000. yes i know its not cable but these guys make a kit to make a hydro work like a cable tranny. and its not that expensive. i rather do that then buy a quaif. it does work and it works very well though. i brought up phantom grip and they both seemed to agree that it gets the job done. they mentioned bout the corning and how it has a little downslide but they didnt really have nothing bad to say. both have installed them on cars and they said they can feel a huge difference on there launches and thats what im looking for. plus they come with lifetime warranty. but they had nothing bad to say bout quaif or phantomgrip. they did mention about quaif being so expensive cause of the name though. they made a lot of good points bout both of these kits, it just my brain is to small to hold all of them, but after talking with them i am getting phantomgrip.
