Ported Cobra Intake, Ported & polished Windsor Jr heads, K&N, Vortech s-trim, 90mm Lightining mass air meter, 70mm throttlebody,1.7 roller rockers, BBK Long tube headers, offroad H-pipe, Crane cam, main cap girdle, 40 series flowmaster, 3.73 gears, MSD ignition, CGS subframes, A9L PIH kit, SCT custom burned chip, 42lb injectors, 190lph fuel pump, T rex and fuel pressure regulator, AFCO racing radiator (If it doesn't scare the Hell out of you it isn't fast enough) |

Not really disturbing.... the guy obviously isn't a great driver or raced(missed 2nd?!?!?!) the car much and the 03 Cobra is not an easy car to launch. There is another video where the 03 Cobra has DR's and exhuast and wins agianst the same T/A every time.

that was still close.. the cobra was at his bumper.. i think that would be a drivers race...

I would just like to get some opinions here from everyone. I would like to know why this would be a close race. I mean we are talking 390hp vs 330hp right? Before seeing this video I would have thought that this Cobra would have just OWNED this LS1. Now obviously you miss second gear your going to loose so that is a no brainer. My question is more geared to round 2, when this cobra was at the LS1's bumper shouldnt this have been the otherway around with 60 hp difference. I know that the driver makes a big difference and maybe there was a goof ball in the driver seat of the Cobra but Round 3 looked like both got off the line pretty good and in the end the Cobra got owned.
I guess this boils down to how much HP does it take to own an LS1.

The trans am sounded like it had stuff done to it.. it did not sound stock.. Put it this way, my cousin has a 2002 firehawk with headers,cats,and catback loud mouth from slp.. he also has a chip.. So that right there is a high12 second car.. last time we went head to head with me in my 99 cobra with just gears, i was at his door so.. By the amount he should had spanked me by i made up in good driving.. He should just murder me, but he doesn't cause he can't drive..
