Cool trans am ram air scoop,or keep the ls1 scoop I have on my 82 heartbreaker?

have won the ram air scoop on ebay, and it is on the way, now the delema, should I take off the ls1 corvette scoop?
will it loose something on the deal, I think the ls1 is a little more rare on these car, so it is more unique, and orignal, but the ram airs look so tough.
what do yall think??

The Ram Air hood only looks good on the 98-02 Ram Air Trans Am's.

I personally think they look cheesy on ANYTHING else.

No offense man, everyone does what they want to their own car. But I am yet to see the 'Ram Air' hood on another car that I have liked. That hood is so bulky, it really only matches the lines on the 98-02 Trans Am's. Just an opinion man.

And there were "Ram Air" hoods in the past. The design started in the 60's I believe. But the newer ones like the one in my sig came out 1998 and ran through 2002.

Opinions are like buttholes...everyones got one and they all stink..

But seriously, it does look bulky, but I believe it gives the front of my baby a much fiercer (more fierce?) look than stock. The 20HP from the ram air kit aint too shabby, neither...

Mr. Luos would be right, look at the nose on his car it fits and leads right up to the scoop...
but if you look the nose and the accent lines in the hood of Silvers car (above) run right up to it making it look like, and giving credit to the designers, looks like it was made for our body style to

Re: trans am ram air scoop,or keep the ls1 scoop I have on my 82 heartbreaker?

well I had planned on putting it on there anyway,
what good is a forum if it dont have questions?
besides thats why my car is the heartbreaker.
just look at it on cardomain .com, its theme is based on just buggin everyone who has these ideas bout things, ya know camaros.want it to be separated from them, hence the 400, etc, its still mind you in the devloping stages, thats why the old scoop is comming off, but I loved that trans am commerical, ya know the one with the red light, saying you know ya could..., but cant afford one of those as a toy, but loved the car so much, have wanted that type of hood, Mr.luos, and they are to hard to work on, like life simple, thats the main reason for the 82, but even there, theres more room to work on it with the 400 than with thew 305 or 350,anyway just wanted to se what yall thought, not that it really matters, thanks

im biased as well but i think the ram air hoods look very good on 93-97 trans ams. I think they look kinda shitty on 93-97 birds and formulas tho. I get tons of complements on my "ls1 ws6" on a fairly regular baises. So, if it fools people who "think" they know f-bodies the i would say it is pretty streamlined and fits in well. If most f-body guys that aren't hung up on keeping the car stock had a choice with a 93-97 ta with or without a ram air hood, my guess is they would take the ram air hooded car. But yeah its just another oppinion.

By the way, i make no attempt to make my car look like a ws6. I got a free hood compliments of the US post office, and i always thought a ram air hood would make my car look meaner and still not ruin the lines of the car.

If you guys wanna hear how i got a free ram air hood, i'll explain. If not, i'll save the story for a rainy day.

peace
