Cat Conv Removal
ok anyone know any links that have pictures of, or discription of removing the cats from an rx-7? or any car I guess since its probably all about the same. if not, someone want to explain the process and what will be needed? this is something I'll be planning on doing in the future, when I get the HKS Hi-Power dual exhaust(which is now about 300 dollars further away, stupid clutch)
edit: by the way, I can do this before installation incase you need to know haha

Re: Cat Conv Removal
All you need is a midpipe, you can find those just about anywhere, and it just bolts in. Its worth it.

Re: Cat Conv Removal
I just got a peice of bendable exhaust pipe from and a couple of adapters, brackets, etc, kinda ghetto, but it was under 30 bucks and worked great for me, im really happy with it.
As far as how to do it,, umm well, try looking under the car, take off the section of pipe that is before the y pipe and mufflers, there are no real connectors there, I just wiggled mine free, only two bolts up front and that is it. |
