1996 with Crankshaft Sensor Fault Code

I have a 96 Regal 3100 and the fault code is returning a bad crank shaft position sensor for the sensor behind the harmonic blancer. Both sensors and the harmonic balancer have been replaced with the code checked between each item being changed out. I am still getting the same fault code.

When the engine is cold, it will not idle right. After the engine warms up a bit, things are fine. Please help.

Did you replace BOTH crank sensors? Or just the one behind the harmonic balancer?

Re: 1996 with Crankshift Sensor Fault Code

Consider the posibilty of a bad crimp on connection of a connector to wire at the "computer" end of the wire from the sensor, though in my experience that would cause the engine to quit / not start. Wiggle the wires at the plastic multiwire connector.
