why are you ripping on the enzo for it's cost?

there's how many being built?

that's an instant collector...
that's like owning a 1920 bugatti... way overpriced, but hey, you own it...

why not just realize that some people are willing to pay that much for a car?

and the people that own them probably own 2-3 other supercars AT LEAST...

so it's not an issue...

I agree totally flylwsi! There were originally suppose to only be 349 built, but then it was recently chagned to 399. And the fact of the matter is, if someone can sink $670,000(what the original price is suppose to be) then $1,300,000 is nothing. If I had the $$ then I'd have one to not only drive but as a collectors car.

Texas, Fly

I guess its a trade off when choosing to buy a really top end super car like the Enzo or the Mclaren or purchase several other cheaper supercars and have some change left over - nothing wrong in going with either options as long as you can afford it.

Some people are willing to pay top dollar for an Enzo and some think its nuts. For me it simply depends on what that person's obssesion is . If I was a huge (and very rich) Ferrari fan I'd waste no time going for the Enzo or a F50 (my current fav Ferrari).

Owning a supercar is never a practical thing - its pure passion.

I was saying its only a rip off if you had only $1,300,000 and you spent it all on the enzo then you would be totally broke after that, cmon wat kind of chick would want a poor guy with an enzo, but if ure rich like bill gates then fine. I would buy all the super cars i wanted(except for stupid japenese cars), and diffenernt hummers and limos, and by the way tony wat was your offer to those "people" that went up to your car? so that is my opinion of the enzo just depends if your rich or not.

I wouldn't call them supercars... They are nice, but supercars are Lamborghinis and Ferraris etc. Japanese cars are not supercars.

well the MR2 isn't really a supercar, but I was talking about japanese sports cars in general. (sports cars by design, not by modification)

The thing is that I hate the stupid japenese cars that i always see here in America wow they have 4cyl. every day i go somewhere with my camaro i see those slow crapped up cars like celicas and s2000 and they run soooo damn slow wow 4cyl, and v6 so they make me have to go drive right next to them then go in the front and then i piss em off by usually smoking my tires, and cmon the s2000 has like 230 or 240 hp with v6 for more than $40,000 wat kind of sport car is that my camaro can smoke that sooo badly. So those are the reasons why i despise jap. cars, the only reasons why they are here is because they are for cheap jews that dont wanna waste money for gas!:finger: :finger:

erm...I would say NSX is a supercar. I think they are categorized as supercar by car magazines too. But definitely not MR2.

And also wats up with those subarus that have like 3 NOS tanks and race corvettes because they have no chance cmon 4cyl will definitely lose to v8 with 5.7 liters and if the corvette had 3 NOS Tanks then it would be like a jet vs a turtle. And wats up with those gay ads with the nissan pathfinder it has a picture of that vs a jet plane, and it said "not that you would but you could" could what... lose?

Penny

Japanese or European or American...

You can't argue about tastes. It's something individual.

But seriously American and european car makers are the ones that actually have beyond 4or 6 cyl. sports cars, and japanese car makers just make cars because they expect people to buy them for their cheap prices thats the only reason, because they really dont look good and dont have big engines, the only reason is for its price and long life.

Tony,
I totally agree that people should drive these cars on a regular basis. However are you a little hesitant logging that many miles on your new car. I think you should definitly do it and I am sure it would be an amazing experience. I am still shocked that your fellow employee cannot find the time to drive a murcielago across country with you. Seems like an amazing chance. Good luck if you do go regardless.:frog:
