need more power

I got a 97 5.7L w/ 144K miles. Looking for some way to help restore some power lost to high mileage. (On a modest budget). Any suggestions as far as upgrades or accessories? Thanks!

You can start with the free mod. Take out the screen in the maf sensor. Then I would suggest the basic boltons, aftermarket ignition, air intake, headers, aftermarket computer chip, aftermarket exhaust system. These mods should help you considerably and shouldn't break the bank.
