Intake, downpipe, full catback exhaust (at least 3.0 inch piping) and a boost controller to allow you to crank up the boost.
Some items you might want to look at these sites: www.240sx.org (in classified section under Aftermarket) www.thepartstrader.com (under Nissan other) www.jspec.com (under Nissan) |

Re: I need more power
Quote:
It all depends on what are you looking for... Is it acceleration, top-speed, or a track-day weapon. I gotta say, the way the car built, it wasn't for top speed. It's a drift car actually, for sideways kinda thing... If it's just power that you care about, then I supposed the following would be enough: 1. Exhaust system, 3 to 3 1/2 inch would be just nice... 2. Intercooler, the bigger the better FOR TOP-END POWER, especially if you are running a high boost... 3. Air filter. 4. Boost controller 5. APEX'i AFC and APEX'i ITC, they are the ignition timing and the Air/Fuel Ratio controller, basically. Or you can replace the two things here by fitting an aftermarket ECU. From my experience, the ECU is a better option. You should get around 75% to 90% increase over your standard power figure, provided that you got somebody who REALLY CAPABLE of tuning the electronic stuffs. BUT, you should check if your SR20DET is the same spec as the Japanese beforehand, becasue in some countries, they are totally different and not as good as the Japanese spec. They are not as tunable, too... My brother's was not the Japanese-spec engine, thus we really had hard time finding the right parts and tuning the engine was a nightmare... Good luck... And be really careful with its tail-happy characteristic, it can be very tricky and dangerous for novice... |

easy power 4 ur S13
If u want a cheap and effective way of giving ur car a big more oomf, then all u gotta do is advance the timing on the distributor. don't try and do it urself, but see if u have a mate who is a mechanic or see who will do it 4 u because it has to be done properly with a timing light. when and if done properly u can gain up to 15kw more power.....not bad for turning a nob :smoka:
