WIP: Customer's Nissan 240SX Notchback
A long term custom project... Apparently, no one makes a kit that is both the notchback car AND has the North American flip-up headlights. So I've fixed that:
I've done this type of splicing on a dozen GM Wagon kits, so it sort of comes easy now. Just roughly mocked up of course, still need to fill some areas and re-scribe some body lines. Here's the subject, a customer's 240sx. It will look like this, other than a change in the wheels (already procured)... Pretty straightforward other than some of the interior work, so I'll be looking for parts. ![]()

Re: WIP: Customer's Nissan 240SX Notchback
I used both aoshima kits to build mine, but I simply scribed through the door lines and glued them together. Barely any filling was needed and the door line was easily maintained as well as the simple modifications to the chassis (just hacked the back of the chassis and swapped them accordingly. Other than the detail work on the interior and chassis, it took me a week to complete.
This is what you'll end up with.

Re: WIP: Customer's Nissan 240SX Notchback
Yep, we call them sileighty's (sil80). Very popular and easy to do conversion on a 1:1.. I think fujimi make a model that is already like that, but not one like he is making in this thread. So its good to see this getting built.

Re: WIP: Customer's Nissan 240SX Notchback
cool build...always enjoy seeing an s13 of some sort being built...one word about the fujimi kits...to match the ride height and your customers car, the kit will need to be lowered some...but i'm sure you know that already
