1992 Winfield Racing R32 GT-R

I'm new here and before I start.. Great Site!!
This is the Winfield Racing R32 Skyline as raced in the 1992 Australian Touring Car Championship. The actual model is of the car which competed at the Tooheys 1000 km race and won the event after crashing 1 lap before the race was ended due to poor weather conditions. Under Red Flag conditions the race winner is the car which led the race 2 laps prior to the end. As such it was the most controversial win in the events history.
I hope you like the pictures. That's if I have posted them here
Thanks
Rob

It's the Tamiya Calsonic Group A Skyline. The decals were a combination of bought and homemade with the purchased set coming from a company that makes 24th scale slot car accessories.

Thats the second reference I have seen to that site today.
That was the year Gentle Jim (Richards) made his famous post race speech right?

That's right!
The ford fans thought they had won the race and when Mark Skaife and Jim Richards were called to the podium they were greeted by a rather hostile crowd.
"you lot are a pack of a#@holes!!!!!!" I think he said?

That is one of the best R32's I've ever seen. The engine is something else.

That's a very unique skyline. Awesome engine detail.

I like everything about it. The livery, the detail, everything.
Thanks for sharing, and welcome to AF. Can't wait to see more of your work.

Welcome and glad to have you on board, that engine bay is sensational and would have to be the best that ive ever seen here theres nothing even that comes close, love the exposed cam gears and anodised plumbing are they scratch built or an aftermarket part. i would realy love to see a super close macro shot of this engine bay,i could have sworn that it was the real thing!!

Cant wait to see any other projects that you may have in the pipeline, i would pressume that with a model like this that your an aussie right??
