crash course in the internet?

Can anybody reccomend some online tutorials for a raw recruit just starting out on the net?A friend of mine has just bought into the digital age and I'd like to point him towards some good places to start.Hax0r and geek-speak are foreign languages to him, bless his little cotton socks, and he's not quite old enough to sign up for the local library's 'surfing for seniors' program.I've got to go over to his place tomorrow and help him find some programs that he has 'lost',so any help would be much appreciated.Cheers!

Teach him how to search for things and answers. That'll help more then just about anything. www.google.com

http://www.onysd.wednet.edu/internet_etiquette.html has lots of information on net etiquette (lots of other links)

Those should be good places to start.

Set up/show him how to use email, then show him search engines, then show him some good free porn sites.0 The rest he'll figure out on his own.

Thanks for your help, good people. Now all I have to do is format his POS second hand Dell and try to get some horsepower out of it. Can you get NOS for Windows 98?

It it can run 98 - it can probably handle 2000. If it can - go with 2000. He'll be happier in the long run.
