first off, i'm working on a tutorial. secondly, that picture would be next to impossible to cell shade. the cars are small, there's a huge glare in the photo, and it's backlit by the sun.

photography tip: never take photos with the sun in the background. you get really dark photos and sun glare.

Sun glare can be beneficial too if done right though. Experimentation is never a bad thing

Any picture can be cell shaded, no matter how small or blurry. It's just easier to do one off a nice high res shot. Sometimes the best shots you will find can be really poor quality though, but if the content is there it's worth the extra time required.

This is a really quickly done example, I spent about 1/10th the time on it I would usually allocate to something like this. It's just to give you an idea.

If you would like to know how it was done, feel free to AIM me, I'm always willing to walk someone through things. Just don't do it after 10AM because I'm usually sleeping after then (night shift) I'm helping someone with thier tutorial website, but this lesson isn't completed yet.
