first cell shade
Here is my first attempt at cell shading. didnt come out like i wanted it to
but i guess the next one will be better. what tool is best to use to make the outline? i used the line tool and it kept making new shape layers everytime i made a line, is there a diferent tool i can use? anyway, here is the chopOriginal regular chopped poor excuse for a cell shade please tell me how to make it better thx

try using lines of varying widths/hardnesses, and be more careful with them.. the slower you go, the less they will look like "etch a sketch" lines. Here's my first "anime car" as I call them attempt... I did this like a month ago.. maybe a little more. Photo editing takes practice, and a lot of it.

I used Illustrator to "Illustrate" or basically cell shade a chopped Golf R32 for my computer class. Is there a line tool in Photoshop?

yeh theres a line tool........but i dont like it......too complicated for my liking................
and i would offer advice on the "anime-car" but i have never done one so i really cant..........

I think the best advice is to take a little more time on it. When I did mine it took about 5+hrs to do it, and I didn't use varing thickness in lines or anything and it still came out looking good, just take your time on it and it will come out good...hopefully
![]() ![]() I have yet to get a chance to mess with illustrator, waiting for roommates to move out so I can delete Diablo and free up some space. ![]() EDIT: oh yea, there is a line tool in Photoshop and it works just fine, just takes a little bit of time. That is all I used on that pic was the line tool and fill
