Will there be ADM parts soon?

Okay, you're all going    right now, but I've got a good idea on this.

Think about the new Pontiac GTO. It's Monaro twin, and Commodore cousin, have a great little company turning out tweaked versions: HSV.

They say there's a 450hp Monaro 427 coming from HSV. Then there's the Austrailian V8 Supercar Commodores, the Utes, the aggressive body fascias, the burbly exhausts, the hyper cams, the suspension bits that give those big coupes unholy grip.

This'll be the next big thing! And it could go on. GDM- Germany only Volkswagen parts, or Opel parts for stateside GM cars based on the Omega and Episilon platforms. BDM. Focus parts grabbed from RS's and Cosworths to give our SVT's that added edge. Who says that we're just missing out on the good stuff in Japan? Let's get some good stuff from everywhere.

How long have you been thinking about this? and how much sleep have you gotten?

LOL. J/K.

But I agree, there's a LOT of crap everybody else gets to enjoy that we Americans can't.

And likewise. I was looking at the Pontiac website for Mexico, the only cars they sell there are the Aztek and the Grand Am. Lol they are missing out on so much luxory and power Pontiac has to offer.

Uhh! that sucks! We do miss out on a bunch of stuff. It pisses me off. If they offered stuff liked that it would boost sales of cars, that don't get such good...sales. And, or...Boost sales of already good sellers such as the Grand Am.

ADM I thought about that one night, too. With all the JDM talk, its about time we started using the nomenclature for other markets

I wanna get my hands on all the cool parts I see in Max Power magazine! BDM all the way, baby :smoka:

Well.. If it gets the LS1 like its claimed to get... And people start ordering crap from Australia for performance parts... I'll be sure to hit them upside the head numerous times.

Its an LS1 anything that can go onto a LS1 will fit, just maybe not the headers.

As for suspension and other neato goodies.... Thats different.

Well, I was talking about the parts that would be car specific, Redneck. I mean, the LS1 (and big brother LS6 in the Z06 Vette) are plentiful here in Camaros, Firebirds, and trucks. We've already got all the cams, heads, intakes, and engine goodies right here. But what we don't have are things like HSV suspension pieces and body bits.

C'mon, isn't this a bit more like what we want for the GTO?

I've never heard of a LS1 powered truck from the factory...

All the Trucks that I can think of are powered by Vortec Motors...

explain?! haha

EDIT: Yeah i know all the engine parts are here already cause of the Camaro/Firebirds and Vettes.. but I'm just stating that if somebody boasts about importing in engine parts from australia for their new GTO. They deserve to be hit...

Vortec is just a marketing name for the LS1 block engines in the trucks. Like Magnum Dodge engines. The Silverado 5.7L V-8 is the same design as the Camaro 5.7L V-8. This is why we can get hi-po versions like the SS without astronomical development costs.

I agree with you there on the boasting. I can just picture some GTO showing up with HSV/Holden badges and a cheap muffler. "Yeah. mate, ADM all the way."

*sighs* With every cool thing, there's an equally lame thing. It's just like Newton said.

Where did you read that?!?!

Let me straighten this up.

A. Vortec motors are cast iron standard GM 4-bolt 350s (also other sizes) with Vortec Heads. Vortec

B. LS1's (LS6 as well) are all aluminum 6-bolt 350s with a reverse coolant flow and tons of other trick goodies that I cant think of. LS1

There are no interchangeable parts between the two motors. Except maybe an Aircleaner.

Not to mention the huge price difference.. if they were the same motor. They'd be about the same price wouldnt they?

i second that notion on the ls1 motors in trucks... it's true...

also, there are companies that cater to the "GDM" or other domestic markets for US cars...

funny to note, i saw on overboost from the tokyo auto salon that there was a booth selling USDM lexus badges and what not for toyotas...

it's already happening...

most of it's aftermarket though, not oem, so it would simply mean you'd have to get GDM, ADM, BDM aftermarket parts for your car...

but it can be done...

.

Yes that Vortec 350 is a different breed then the ls1. Doesn't have the power the ls1 can put out.

Why exactly do they call the Z06's 350 an LS6? Is there something it shares that the Chevelle's LS6 454 had?

THANK YOU!!

Actually the GM Vortec crate motor makes more power stock than the LS1 does... and is cheaper. I'm a firm believer in both motors. They both have huge potential.

the new 5.3 in the new silverado is the same as the ls1 i'm pretty sure...

i deal in the truck aftermarket, and i've seen the listing more than once that they're the same motor, or based on the same motor...

interchangeable aftermarket parts and what not...
