tornado air

has anyone ever tried this before. i couldnt sleep last night and i saw the infomercial for it. sounds like a good idea, but i was wondering if it really works. if they do anything, it be a cheap mod. i was thinking about getting one and sticking it in the end of my cai.

im always careful when it comes to believing performance claims, like all that bs on ebay... but this seems to be a bit more reputable than items such as $5 performance chips or plastic turbo's.

i don't know anything about that but something that is kinda cool is a throttle body spacer. I haven't gotten one yet cause I might do a swap, but my friends got one on this del slo. It sounds pretty sweet and he said it helped a little bit in the power. They're only like $80 on Nopionline. They seriously sound almost like a turbo. Whistles a little. Sounds cool when you rev up the engine.

the tornado is a scam. the theory is sound (maybe for a deisel), but in practice it doesn't work and in independant tests it reduced hp and torque in some cars. CD did a test on this and their test 540i lost hp. there have been problems with the unit interfering with or jamming open/closed the TB. Last time i checked, this company had a few suits pending. no joke. save your money . . . . unless you think water passing from one 2 liter bottle to another will help you

yep it's no good, i took a dyno class last year and one guy who was there had one in his truck, it was a 90s style chevy with lots of engine work, and we ran it on the dyno both ways and there was a surprising horsepower LOSS with the tornado in the car, it was right there in the charts. i had considered one when i first saw it too but that was really convincing not to.

t.c.

and they claim like a 26% inmileage on a little ol Sentra...to quote John Sterwart...

(rubbing eyes) WAAAAAAA???!!!!

yeah, bogus. As I said long when the same question came up, if a $.10 piece of stamped steel could do that, every car company on the planet would have done it years ago

its a cylinder with fins that fits inside of the intake before the tb. it supposedly causes the air to spin in a tornado like fasion, causing the air to travel faster.
