...and my wife turns on the stove without looking at what was drying in there!
I guess I'm part to blame for putting them in there. My stove, with the oven lights on, makes a great dehydrator. But turn on the heat and you're pretty much screwed.Thankfully my $10 Revell's were not harmed. Just two of my favorite models! Whew! Bonus points if anyone can figure out what kits these were! The black one is a rare, out of production kit that I found in an old hobby shop, tucked in the back. ![]() |

Re: My best paintjob to date...
On a side note, what should I do with 2 models that are complete, except for the bodies? Not that a body is that important to a model.

Re: My best paintjob to date...
use the left over parts for some frankenstein builds. That top one looks like a ferrari. If it had a full engine, that would make an awesome swap into lots of kits!!!!

For the Ferrari, order a new body (and any body parts you need) from Revell.com's website. You can do the same if it's a Tamiya kit by calling the # on their website. For the black glob, not sure what to do, unless I know what it is. Is is a BMW? I think I see two nostrils. |

Re: My best paintjob to date...
The top one is a Ferrari 360 Modena Hardtop and the bottom is.... I dunno... a Viper? Get replacement bodies and paint after dinner :-)

Re: My best paintjob to date...
Yeah, call Tamiya. If Tamiya USA doesn't have either, then send an email to [email protected]

Re: My best paintjob to date...
SO I have to ask, who did you get mad at, yourself or your wife?! Sorry to hear about the rare one. Maybe someone out there has an avenue to help you out?!

Re: My best paintjob to date...
D'oh! Rotten luck!
The bodies could be a start for a crash diorama...or a piece of modern art. Just do something with it...don't throw it away before you tried. Cheers [EDIT]Just came to my mind, isn't there a transformers' thread/groupbuild about to be started? >> LOST IN TRANSFORMATION << [/EDIT] |

Re: My best paintjob to date...
Ouch I love the smell of melted plastic in the morning
Maybe next time just put a sign on the stove as a reminder.

Ha ha, yes I learned the stove isn't a perfect dehydrator. And to save my "rare" models in the boxes and not take them out to build. |
